This thick slicing disc makes wonderful 1/4-inch slices with ease. Use it to slice tomatoes for sandwiches, to slice pineapple and bananas for fruit salads, or to make thick slabs of potatoes or eggplant for soups and stews. The raised shelf behind the cutting blade prevents slices from colliding with the disc itself, guaranteeing uniform, unbroken slices every time.
